SIYB Sri Lanka is the copy right holder in Sri Lanka for the promotion of SIYB training package of the International Labour Organization (ILO) targeting micro and small entrepreneurs.

The ‘Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB)’ Program of the International Labour Organization is a system of inter-related practical management-skills training package for small-scale enterprise owners and managers. It encompasses a range of cost-effective and practical training, monitoring and evaluation methodologies and instruments which were designed to meet the management training needs of potential and existing small business persons. SIYB Association of Sri Lanka has trained 377 trainers as at 31st March, 2012.

We set standards in management training and benchmark the performances of micro and small enterprises in Sri Lanka with industry analysis, trainer assessments, baseline studies, and impact studies.

Details of such interventions can be obtained from the SIYB Sri Lanka office. Findings of some of the ILO global studies are available in the ILO web site.

The generic version of ILO Start and Improve Your Business training modules have been adapted to Sri Lankan context. Training modules are available in Sinhala, Tamil and in English languages.

Sinhala, Tamil and English versions of SIYB manuals are available for entrepreneurs, trainers and other interested organizations at SIYB Sri Lanka office or you can order through our partner organizations. We are obtaining the service from our trainers, master trainers, partner organizations and other professionals and experts to adapt generic versions of ILO SIYB modules.
